Die Cutting
The technique of cutting a particular shape or design into a sheet of material, usually cardboard or paperboard, to make a custom box or pack is known as packaging box die cutting.
The following steps are involved in the die-cutting process:
- A Box design application, a box template with the precise measurements and box design is made.
- The shape and measurements of the box are then matched to a custom cutting die made using the box template.
- The die cutting machine is set up with the custom die and the material to be cut.
- The material is sliced into the required shape by the die cutting machine applying intense pressure to the die.
- Die cutting is a common technique for producing distinctive and eye-catching custom packing boxes.
